it's time again for matt's art auction to benefit ms. my brother, matt oelfke was 34 years old when he died from complications with ms in 2008. his death was sudden and shocking and left in it's wake two little boys without a father. ms is a cruel disease that takes things away from those who have it day by day....slowly and painfully. last year i was struggling with my feelings about matt's death and his disease. i could feel myself slipping into depression and wanted a way to combat that in a positive way. so my great friend's tania cross, joe lazzeri and i organized the first annual art auction and pool tournament to benefit ms. it was thrown together at the last minute, we had no idea what we were doing, were completely disorganized, and still it was an absolute raving success:))) we were able to donate more than $3000 to the national ms society thanks to the many amazing artists and pool participants who donated their work and their time. a million thank you's for everyone involved in last years event. please please please join us again this year for what promises to be a great time for a great cause with great art and the greatest bunch of people around.
